TUTORIAL BRIDGE 4.5 NEW IN VERSION 4.5 (1) The most significant thing that is new in 4.5 is the Help file. The HTMLHelp viewer is now being used. In previous versions the WinHelp viewer was used. This viewer has been dropped from the new Vista operating system. (2) The placement and size of many screen boxes have been changed to accommodate those notebook computers that have a wide screen display. FONT SIZE AND SCREEN RESOLUTION Tutorial Bridge was designed to have a large readable text. That is why single large characters are used to represent the playing cards rather than the often barely readable crowded picture card representations used in other programs. Tutorial Bridge scales most windows and text so that everything appears to be relatively the same size regardless of the screen resolution of your display. However, some things are not controlled by Tutorial Bridge, but by the Windows Operating System. If you find that the characters displayed in the Menu or the Message Boxes are too small, you can adjust their font size in your computer's Control Panel/Display/Appearance/Menu or Message Boxes. Tutorial Bridge supports screen resolutions of 800 x 600 and higher. It is not necessary to set your display Font Size to something larger than normal as Tutorial Bridge has already enlarged and scaled the text as discussed above. In fact with the XP system, at 800 x 600 resolution, and a larger than normal font size, some Tutorial Bridge screen boxes, such as Examples and Hand Summary, will not display properly. Your computer's screen resolution is at Control Panel/Display/Settings. WHERE TO BEGIN It is recommended that you begin Tutorial Bridge by looking over the first few items of the Help menu, and run through the Beginner examples in the Examples menu. UNINSTALL Do not uninstall if you plan to re-install the current or a later version of Tutorial Bridge. Uninstall will remove any data written by the program since its installation.
